Elien Duwyn

Elien Duwyn graduated from the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw College in Zottegem with a focus on Latin-Mathematics before starting her law studies at KU Leuven. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics, Law, and Business Administration, providing her with a solid foundation in the economic aspects of law.
For her bachelor's thesis, Elien explored sales through sealed-bid auctions, which resulted in a publication in the Jura Falconis journal. This experience highlights her research skills and dedication to legal practice.
During her further studies, Elien focused primarily on criminal law and criminal procedure, her main areas of interest. She chose criminal law as her major and social law as her minor, enabling her to gain both broad and in-depth knowledge. She wrote a thesis on excessive use of force by police officers, after which she obtained her Master of Law with distinction.
Subsequently, Elien began her internship as a trainee lawyer at our firm, where, under the supervision of Master De Groote, she continues to develop her expertise in criminal law and criminal procedure.
